Liam Monoghan
Liam Monaghan is a writer, artist-researcher, and educator based on Treaty 6 Territory in Edmonton, Alberta.
His practice currently focuses on life writing and (auto)biography, archive-based artistic research, and revitalizing the queer past through performance. Liam's plays have been produced in cities across Canada and include 2023's Strange/Familiar, winner of the Sharon Pollock Prize awarded by Alberta Playwrights' Network.
He has published articles in Ploughshares, Alberta Views, and The Dalhousie Review, and an essay on autofictional playwriting is forthcoming from HowlRound Theatre Commons. Liam holds an M.A. and M.F.A. and currently teaches writing at MacEwan University Library.
