Juru is an artist-researcher who works in the fields of dance, film and performance.

Juru co-directed This is Ballroom (2024), in partnership with Vitã, which premiered at CPH:DOX in Copenhagen, Denmark. Dramaturgist in the performance "Repertory n. 1", by Davi Pontes and Wallace Ferreira.

Juru has a master in Contemporary Arts Studies at Universidade Federal Fluminese and PhD in Arts at Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro.
